The beginnings of the history of the J. Miquel Jané Winery date back to the end of the 19th century, the date that is the beginning of the winery's activity. In those times, they produced wine in bulk and were distributed mainly in Cuba, thanks to the family owns a company of frigates that crossed the ocean.
Throughout the family generations they are acquiring vineyards farms, among them the estate Cal Costas and the estate La Baltana Vella of which all the wines Miquel Jane are elaborated at the moment.
In 2002, Josep Miquel Jané transformed the wine business in bulk in the sale of bottled wine with his own brand: MIQUEL JANE. Currently the fourth generation of the family continues to lead the business working a total of 51ha in full conversion to organic farming and producing grapes of the highest quality and expanding its markets for sales abroad.
We are in an excellent area of the Penedès, in Font-Rubí, the so-called balcony of the Penedès. We are in the highest Penedès, 650m above sea level, give our wines a unique character, a more continental and dry climate, we have slow and optimum ripening, and wines with a prominent acidity. The soils of our farms are clay-calcareous, and quite deep.

In view: white wine with grayish and greenish tones, with a very light golden touch, which reminds us that it is a young wine.
On the nose: xarel.lo of fantastic aromatic complexity, its fresh aroma, indicates that it is grown in height. Aniseed notes, white flower, and white fruit at its ripening point. A real kindness on the nose.
In the mouth: explosion of aromas in the mouth, a very acidity embedded in the range of aromas and good structure. Very persistent once it has been tested.

Nature Reserve Brut - Nature
A unique sparkling wine, made from our star varietal Sauvignon Blanc.
Pale lemon in color with no signs of development, and a lively bubble that rises softly to the surface.
A wine that opens in the glass to offer primary varietal notes coupled with lighter notes of autolytic development.
On the palate we find a creamy mousse, which is the result of the well-integrated gas, and enjoyable citric and floral notes that are persistent.
Pairing: Aperitif, starter dishes, white meats and fruit desserts.
CLASSIC PENEDÈS - Parellada
Minimum 15 months of bottle aging
Sparkling wine of the Parellada variety, from a very old, ecological and hillside vineyard.
In view: pale white gold color, greenish and grayish tones, which mark the elaboration that has been done with the minimum intervention of oxygen in the cellar, along with a very elegant fine bubble.
On the nose: that aging aroma comes out with a mixture of aromas of dry grass of low forest, with an aniseed point.
In the mouth: it is necessary to highlight the fine bubble, its soft passage through the mouth, with a refreshing acidity that invites you to continue savoring this sparkling, small production that honors the most planted variety in the area.

In view: we are in front of a very elegant pale pink, bright and agile in the glass, with a color reminiscent of the rosé wines of Provence, but elaborated in the Penedès
On the nose: very fresh and seductive aromas, with citrus notes that make it very sweet on the nose.
In the mouth: very refreshing and sweet, persistent and with good acidity that makes it very attractive and pleasant.
Aging in stainless steel with fine lees for 4 or 5 months
One of the characteristic things of Syrah is its color, it is always very powerful. Intense red cherry with slights tones of garnet blue on the edge of the glass. Notes of pepper, married to the sweetness of a ripe strawberry. Its mouth is long and elegant, which also highlights the part of the ripe red fruit. The whole is elegant in the mouth, where the balance between fruit, acidity and tannins is perfect.

In view: red wine of medium-low layer, with violet-bluish tones and cherry red cherry.
On the nose: touch of wood married with aromas of red fruit that stand out when the minutes pass by the glass, highlight the ripe strawberry and hints of low-forest herbs.
In the mouth: soft tannin, with a very elegant, sweet and sweet acidity.
Pairing: excellent to accompany a table of bread with tomato and homemade sausages, veal with mushrooms, wine to make glasses followed by cured sheep cheeses or Catalan beans.

10 months in French and American oak barrels, plus 1 year in bottle
In view: red wine of medium layer, with ripe cherry tones, which denote a wine with a good life inside the bottle.
On the nose: light touch of wood, made up with the aromas of very ripe red fruit, with shades of low-forest, balsamic and very fresh herbs.
In the mouth: it highlights its rounded tannin and the excellent combination between the fruit and the wood of the barrel.
Pairing: with grilled lamb ribs, with “xató”, all kinds of sausages, cured sheep cheeses, mincemeat from Cerdanya or game meat.
