40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 60% Merlot
Wine made with Merlot and Cabernet, from our winery estates, about 10 years old, with a light passage through wood.
Strains that try to work in a way that produces the minimum possible. Located on a plain touched by the wind and with a rather poor soil, it makes the black grapes small and with a high concentration of polyphenols. This, linked to the height of the estate, makes us obtain a strong red wine, rare in the Penedès.
Harvested by machine at dawn, it arrives fresh first thing in the morning, still dark in the cellar. Skidding and tubing direct to the self-emptying tank.
Pre-fermentative maceration of 1 day and quite cold, with pump-overs to extract the maximum of fruit aromas. Maceration - fermentation of about 12-15 days depending on the vintage, to extract all the qualities of the skin. Minimal bleeding and pressing of the skins, depending on the tasting.
Malolactic in stainless steel and then aged for between 5-8 months in French oak barrels from 1º-2º year of 225 liters.
Red cherry with purple tints. Intense notes of red fruit (rasperry, gooseberry) and smokiness. Wide, viscous with pleasant red fruit and vegetal notes on the palate. Good structure and length.
